Tipton, who immediately appealed and remains free on bond, declined to make a statement at the sentencing hearing. That is something the court considers to be significant in regard to the gravity of this offense," the judge said, adding that a prison sentence was necessary to deter others from considering such crimes. But that puts a target on Rafe’s back, and so Ward takes the blame for the death of both John B.’s dad and Sheriff Peterkin. Her dad! Jackson Lee Davis/Netflix Pray tell, what is the Cross of Santo Domingo? Which was, of course, also on the Merchant. And here’s where things get even more difficult to follow! Pope is apparently a descendant of Denmark Tanney, a former enslaved person who escaped the Royal Merchant shipwreck and, before his eventual death, left behind a message-and a key that would, supposedly, lead to the Cross of Santo Domingo. In Charleston, this mystery woman promises to exchange evidence of Rafe’s crime for Pope’s help in uncovering a key, one connected to his own heritage. The Pogues still need the assistance of a sick woman named Carla Limbrey (Elizabeth Mitchell) to prove Rafe’s the murderer. This initiates an elaborate scheme involving the gun that Ward’s son, Rafe (Drew Starkey), used to actually kill Peterkin, but the important part to remember is this: Securing the gun makes little initial difference. and Sarah are, in fact, alive-thanks to a text message from JB via stolen phone-they set out to clear his name. for the death of Sheriff Peterkin in season 1. Trying to remember what, precisely, led the so-called Pogues down the road to El Dorado-yes, literally, that’s the end goal of season 3-is a bit like recalling equations from a math test taken under the influence. The story was a little ridiculous, sure, but damn it-it felt good.įlash forward three years, and Outer Banks has introduced markedly fewer vibes and many more difficult-to-follow plot machinations. And rightfully so! With its Vineyard Vines versus boho-lite fashion, its oversimplified rich-versus-poor politics, its neon sunsets, and absurd beachside hijinks (including multiple sunken ships), the series yawned open the electric summer fantasy that COVID had smacked shut. Set on the North Carolina coast with a well-cast ensemble of attractive twenty-somethings playing teens sniffing for treasure, the Netflix hit became an overnight sensation. In its first hit season, released during those ugly early months of the pandemic, Outer Banks sailed in on the froth of good vibes. Spoilers ahead for Outer Banks seasons 1 and 2. This means that if Mario is walking clockwise and steps on one of these pointed at Rubber Band, Mario will move forward one ring but continue going clockwise.Īfter Mario's turn ends, Rubber Band will use Pullback to take these all back and restore some HP. However, unlike arrow panels, they do not change the direction Mario walks. They are in an arrow-like shape, and landing on one will send you one space forward in whatever direction they're pointing. Using them to move around the board is the key to this battle. Rubber Band will throw these out randomly at the start of turns, which will slightly take away from its total HP. Rubber Band Tips and Strategy Bumper Bands Grab it when it does this to deal the final blow. You cannot grab it while it is moving, but it will stop for a brief moment and lean forward, either to its left or right. When you try to grab it, it will wiggle left and right to dodge your arms, and even damage you. Still, you will want to move toward a Magic Circle, then grab it with the 1000-Fold Arms to finish it off. Right before it runs out of HP, its form will change, and it will become a single Rubber Band. Using these bands also has the bonus effect of allowing Rubber Band to recover less HP when it uses Pullback.Īs you continue to damage it, Rubber Band will lose more and more of its bands. The basic strategy does not really change throughout the battle, however, there will be less arrows for moving inward at your disposal, so using the bumper bands set on the board to move toward the center will be essential. If you land on a Magic Cirlce in one of the two innermost circles, this attack will deal a ton of damage to Rubber Band, so go for this whenever possible. Your main objective is to set up a path that will allow you to activate the Magic Circles and land on one up close to the boss. These will move you a space in whatever direction they're pointing. The battle will start off with Rubber Band casting out bumpers over the board, which are shaped like arrows. And here we are! All Glory and Praise to our Lord Jesus Christ! Through out the whole time, we felt that moving to Kenya to serve at Rift Valley Academy was what God was calling us to do but we had quite a few lessons to learn along the way. Somethings happen right away and somethings take a while to develop. It was also a lesson in acknowledging that God’s time is the perfect time. Also, it was a time of learning to trust in God in any circumstances, easy or difficult. God continually reminded us of His promises to provide when we sought His kingdom first. How did you overcome those fears and take the plunge? I told Amy, “Give me a hut and some goats and we will be all right.” It was fair to say we were familiar with most of the common dangers of going to Africa but I think our biggest fear was, “Is God really going to make this happen?” We sold our house, our cars, and most of our other possessions and there were times when we felt, “God are you sure this is what you want us to do, this isn’t easy!” Those 10 days were some of my most exciting and awe inspiring experiences. In addition, in 2003, I had a chance to spend a Christmas in Ethiopia with Amy’s parents. I have stayed in at least 30 different units and they are each unique and amazing in their own ways. And now I am getting to share these memories with my daughter. :) Some of my best memories as a child were at Venture Out - spending time with my family doing putt-putt, swimming, riding around on the golf cart, fishing off the back pier, watching the boats ride by, playing on the playground, etc. I have been vacationing at Venture Out for 35+ years and I can honestly say that it gets better and better every single year. Mind you we weren't doing anything bad whatsoever that we wouldn't do at any other vacation spot.… Security received calls all week from residents about various things that our group was doing. It was nosey residents across the street that called security. We did not enjoy our stay here and will absolutely never rent here again. They said homeowners can't allow others to park in their parking. We still had 5 more days so this was perfect, that is until security said this wasn't allowed and that I had to move my vehicle. Since parking was so tight they said I was welcome to park in their parking spot when they left. They were from Georgia and talked a little to us. Our neighbors who owned the house next door were there our first two days. They are very nosey and watch every move you make. There are a bunch of permanent residents that are older and very rude. There were updated waivers I needed to sign, well fix your links on your website. I signed a bunch of waivers but only to be emailed back saying I signed the wrong waivers. When I paid my balance in full several weeks before we went I didn't see anything about this. When I first booked and paid my deposit I didn't see anything about this. We would have never booked here had we known. When we asked why they were closing the pools, we were told because the lighting wasn't up to the Florida Law possibly. This alone had many of us considering losing our money and going someplace else. Playing ball all day and coming back that evening to find out the pool closed at dusk was quite the disappointment. The resort has two pools in which the rules I was given when we booked in December of 2021 said the pools closed at 11 PM. Parking at the home is very tight and not ideal. The concept of this place is nice but it is way too crowded with homes. My son and his team went play in a World Series baseball tournament and we stayed here for the week. The house was so cute but your neighbors don’t do you any favors.… Too many nice places to rent to put up with that mess. He even laughed thst as of September 1 no warnings will be given. We were approached by neighbor who was NOT so nice about the parking. Year round owners thst do not rent make it very hard on renters. It is a pain to have to drive to pick up a car from another area. We went to office after each warning but only on second warning we were given a map & told of off site parking. We only found out about off site parking day before we left sfter two warnings. There is off site parking for the extra car. It is like they are setting you up for a fine. Staff is not very open about rules & regs. Our particular house only had a small parking pad to accommodate the two golf carts. Parking fees are ridiculous since there really is no parking. The amenities such as the pool were not open on a regular basis. Mostly trailers or mobile homes that are from the outside not kept up very well. The actual property of Venture Out leaves a lot to be desired. The house we rented was 316 Lagoon Ln house was clean & furnished nicely.
